Prep baseball: Jackson 3, Kamiak 2

MILL CREEK — Jackson (1-0 league, 3-0 overall) starting pitcher Nick Kiel (2-0) went all seven innings, gave up six hits and struck out eight in the Wesco South game. Kamiak’s (0-1, 4-1) Sam Richards also pitched seven innings, striking out two and giving up five hits. Sam Brown hit 2-for-4 for Jackson, scored the tying run in the sixth inning and hitting the game-winning RBI single in the seventh with the bases loaded. Kamiak’s Seth Heck was 2-for-4 with two singles.
