If you’re a fan of fast-flying fighter jets — try 1,500 miles per hour — that are sleek and restored, you’ll want to see the newest addition to the Flying Heritage Collection.

And see it while you can.

The Flying Heritage Collection is introducing the MiG-29 UB jet fighter to the public starting Saturday, and it will be on view through Thursday.

The Flying Heritage Collection at Paine Field has supported this MiG-29’s restoration for some years. The plane served with Russia and the Ukrainian Air Force before coming to the U.S. for restoration.

This two-seat Soviet-designed fighter, which can still be flown, was built light with long, lean lines, mid-mounted wings and two vertical fins.

It was nicknamed the “Fulcrum” by the Russians because of its great power. The fighter jet is used by the military of 30 countries.

The Flying Heritage Collection showcases warbirds and technologies from 1935 to 1945 in a working hangar for visitors to get up close to the planes.

The MiG-29 will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday through Thursday at the Flying Heritage Collection, 3407 109th St. SW, Everett.

Tickets are $12, $10 and $8 for youth 6 to 15. Children under 5 are free. Call 877-342-3404 or go to www.flyingheritage.com.
