Everett: Tours offered of Whittier remodel
A dedication and tours of the newly remodeled Whittier Elementary School are scheduled for April 28.
Tours begin at 6:30 p.m. and a dedication ceremony is scheduled for 7 p.m. The school, at 916 Oakes Ave., was originally built in 1948. The modeling was completed earlier this year.

Lake Stevens: Expo for business coming
Showcase Lake Stevens is almost here.
The sixth annual business and community expo is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 23 at Lake Stevens High School.
The event is intended to introduce the community to local businesses in a fun way. Representatives from local businesses and service clubs are planning to be part of the event. A pancake breakfast to benefit the Lake Stevens Family Center is planned for 8 a.m.

Lynnwood: Rotary helps village
The Rotary Club of Lynnwood helped donate $32,000 to a village in Kerala, India.
The village lies in hilly, rural terrain where poisonous snake bites are common. People who are bitten often develop renal failure and need dialysis to survive, officials said.
Lynnwood’s Rotary worked with other rotary districts to give the village enough money to buy two new dialysis machines.
The Rotary meets at noon Thursdays at Edmonds Community College in Woodway Hall 202.

Mill Creek: Spaghetti feed aids senior center
The Mill Creek Senior Center’s all-you-can-eat spaghetti feed is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. April 14 at Merrill Gardens Retirement Community, 14905 Bothell-Everett Highway. Food will include spaghetti, French bread, salad and apple crisp.
The suggested donation is $12 or whatever you can afford.
Proceeds benefit the senior center’s educational, health, and recreational programs.

Mukilteo: Benefit set for Japanese Gulch
The nonprofit Japanese Gulch Group is planning a community benefit to raise money to preserve Japanese Gulch.
The benefit is from 7:30 to 10 p.m. April 23 at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. A jazz band and silent auction are planned. Tickets are $20 per person, and include two drinks and an optional swing dance lesson.
