Celebrity edition: Charlie, Arnold and Betty

Step right up: Sales numbers haven’t been made available, but tickets remain at all price levels for the May 3 Everett appearance of Charlie Sheen, including the $575 VIP tickets that include the opportunity to meet the star of the one-warlock show as well as the $49.50 cheap seats.

Our advice: Go ahead and get the VIP tickets. When you stalk out of Comcast Arena disgusted, it’ll make demanding a full refund that much more satisfying.

Maybe Charlie could be his sidekick: Arnold Schwarzenegger, former bodybuilder, actor and California governor, has found work as the voice of a new TV cartoon superhero, “The Governator,” a former bodybuilder, actor and governor who fights crime. Schwarzenegger said he thought he could accomplish more outside the system through this cartoon than he could in politics.

And the poll numbers are better in cartoonland, too.

Takes a while to get to the payoff, though: Betty White, the hardest working woman in TV, is launching a new reality TV series in which seven senior citizens play pranks on “the unsuspecting youth of America” while the hidden cameras run.

One of the more elaborate pranks convinces those in Generations X, Y and above to continue making contributions to Social Security, only to find it tapped out when they retire.
