Through March, Airbus had just one net order, despite logging 29 new orders last month.
The European jet maker booked 29 orders in March but took in cancellations enough to bump Airbus’ net order tally back to one. Airbus has 69 gross orders and 68 cancellations.
Airbus’ rival, the Boeing Co., had 88 net orders and 135 gross orders through March 29.
The bulk of cancellations that Airbus has recorded so far are for its A320, with 43. The company also has dropped orders for 13 A330 family aircraft and 12 A350 XWB jets.
Included in the orders Airbus has received was a request from Cathay Pacific for 15 A330-300ss. That order takes the A330-300 over the 500 order mark, Airbus said on Wednesday.
Cathay Pacific is Airbus’ largest A330 customer and operator with a fleet of 46 in service and a further 21 to be delivered.
Airbus has delivered 119 aircraft through the end of March.
