STANWOOD — Stanwood freshman pitcher Tyler Givens tossed a complete game and did something no one else has season — slow down the previously unbeaten Tomahawks. Givens scattered nine hits and recorded his first-ever varsity win. Cannon Roberson batted 2-for-3 with an RBI and Josh James hit 2-for-2 with a run scored for the Spartans. Givens helped his own cause, hitting 2-for-3 with an RBI.
