Analysts: Boeing unlikely to make 737 decision soon

In the last several months, Boeing executives have indicated the company would announce plans about going forward with a replacement for the 737 at the Paris Air Show in June.

But analysts are beginning to suspect the company either has changed its mind altogether or just doesn’t know yet wh

at to do.

Scott Hamilton, with Leeham Co., outlines a solid business case for continuing to enhance, rather than completely replace, the 737.

Buckingham Research is predicting Boeing won’t announce a new airplane until 2012 or 2013.

And Alex Hamilton, of EarlyBirdCapital, tells Reuters that Boeing has enough on its plate without a new jet.
