Silvertips defenseman Ryan Murray had two or three assists (depending on the source) as Canada opened the U-18 World Championships with a 5-0 victory over the Czech Republic today in Dresden, Germany.
Murray, who is captaining the team, was credited with two assists on Hockey Canada’s box score, but he’s listed as having three assists in the IIHF box score. Either way, it’s a great start for both Murray and Canada.
Canada’s next game is tomorrow against Finland.
