Prep softball: Mountlake Terrace 7, Meadowdale 6

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Mountlake Terrace squeaked past Meadowdale in a crucial Wesco 3A softball game Tuesday.
Entering the game the Mavericks boasted a perfect 10-0 record, but two big innings lifted the Hawks while pitcher Rene Bos held off the Mavs.
Terrace took leads of 3-1 after one and 7-3 after three innings. Chelsea Crews batted 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and scored twice. Bos helped her own cause, hitting 3-for-4 with a homer and two runs scored.
The Mavs scored in all but two innings and plated one in the seventh, but Bos (6-3) kept them from the big innings, scattering nine hits and striking out eight batters against three walks.
Kylee Studioso started in the circle and gave up the homers to Crews and Bos in the first before being lifted for Alyssa Reuble, who took the loss. Reuble hit 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a triple, two RBI and two runs scored. Reuble gave up four runs on nine hits and three walks.
Maddy Kristjanson hit 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run for Terrace and Hannah Fickle added two RBI and a double.
