LYNNWOOD –In a battle between two of the top three ranked teams in the state, according to the coaches poll, the No. 1 team came from behind to beat No.3 when Jackson triumphed 11-9 over Edmonds-Woodway in a Wesco South basebasll game Tuesday at Edmonds Community College.

Edmonds led 9-3 when starter Derek Callahan left the game, but gave up five runs in the sixth and three runs — all with two outs — in the top of the seventh.

Relief pitcher Jaris Beasley got the win for Jackson, which can clinch the league title with a win over E-W today.

John Wilde hit 1-for-2 for Jackson with a double and four RBI. Sam Brown roped a two-RBI triple.

The Warriors, who have only lost to Jackson this year, were led by Mac Mclachlan, Austin Jones and Tate Budnick. Each recorded two hits. Budnick had two doubles and three RBI.
