MUKILTEO — Officials on Thursday identified the man whose body washed ashore last week at Picnic Point County Park, southwest of Mukilteo.

Doi A. Snyder, 45, of Seattle, died from saltwater drowning, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. The manner of death is undetermined.

There is no evidence of foul play, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said Thursday. No arrests are expected in the case, because there is no evidence of a crime.

A 41-year-old Marysville man has since told officials that Snyder was his friend, according to a Kitsap County sheriff’s report. The two had been boating around Puget Sound waterways, and Snyder fell into the water late the night of April 26.

The boat had no radio, and the man said his phone wasn’t working. He didn’t report what had happened until April 27.
