The Donald hits the pits

It’s a pity; he’s already got the helmet hair: Donald Trump won’t be driving the pace car for the Indy 500 on May 29 as was first announced. After some race fans raised objections, Trump said he was pulling out because it wouldn’t be appropriate as he is still considering a run for president.

Things also could have gotten uncomfortable for Trump; rumors were flying that President Obama planned to demand Trump produce the results of his New York driver’s exam and a valid driver’s license before getting behind the wheel.

Elvis has left the list: For the first time in 55 years, the name Elvis has dropped from the Social Security Administration’s annual list of the top 1,000 baby names. Jacob was the most popular boy’s name in 2010, while Isabella was the most popular girl’s name.

But if Jacob and Isabella are any guide, Elvis could shoot back to the top if he makes the cast list of the next big teen vampire movie.

The family plan: Hundreds of thousands of young U.S. adults are taking advantage of the 2010 health care reform that allows those younger than 26 to remain on their parents’ health care coverage.

Which is only fitting, since so many of them are still on their parents’ couches, on their parents’ phones and rooting around in their parents’ refrigerators.
