SNOHOMISH — Mariner moved to within one win of qualifying for the state playoffs with its first playoff win in team history, according to coach Eric Cole. The Marauders jumped out to a 6-1 lead due in large part to 10 walks issued by Snohomish pitchers and six Panther errors. Snohomish battled back with seven runs over the next three innings to force extra innings. Reliever Alex Coffman picked up the win after two shutout innings. Blake Simpson, Eric Koenig and Jordan Ridley each hit a home run for the Panthers. Jesse Johnson went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Tyler Coles had three stolen bases to lead Mariner.
