SEDRO-WOOLLEY — A Sedro-Woolley teacher has won a national award.
The Skagit Valley Herald reported Cascade Middle School teacher Thomas Dorman is one of five teachers in the country to receive an award for excellence in secondary school teaching from Williams College.
The private school in Williamstown, Mass., asks its seniors nominate high school teachers who played influential roles in their lives and learning. A committee of faculty, staff and students choose winners from the nominees.
Recipients receive $3,000 and their schools receive $2,500.
Dorman previously taught Williams College seniors Hilary Dolstad and Tarra Martin at Sedro-Woolley High School.
