Street Hockey Challenge results

The second annual Silvertips Street Hockey Challenge took place today. The final results and scoring leaders are available at the Silvertips website.

I didn’t play this year because of injury, but I did stop by to check it out before heading over to cover the AquaSox game. I ran into some of my teammates from last year and got to catch up. We were semifinalists last year, they significantly upgraded their roster this time around (not hard to do, considering I was one of the player they got to replace), and yet they weren’t quite able to make it out of their pool this year. That’s a good indication of the increased competitiveness in the adult division.

It looked like everyone was having a great time again. Watching from the sidelines, the sun shining brightly, I was jealous that I wasn’t able to play this year. That being said, unlike a year ago, at least I’ll be able to walk upright tomorrow.
