The only way to fly

Membership has its rewards: A new program would let frequent fliers breeze through airport security and avoid touchy-feely pat-down searches — for an annual fee of up to $150.

Maybe they should just go ahead and call first class passengers “the untouchables.”

What, another meeting? Investors had hoped to hear some aggressive new measures Friday from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to jump-start the economy. Instead, Bernanke merely announced the Fed board will meet for an extra day in September.

Nonetheless, the Dow Jones Industrials rose 1.2 percent on the back of Bernanke’s announcement that everyone forced to attend the second day of meetings would be issued two additional tickets for the cash bar.

Farmers use the Web to get information on things like fertilizer and soil types, consult with specialists and, when no one’s looking, play FarmVille.
