Man arrested after musician attacked during performance at Mukilteo festival

MUKILTEO — A man was arrested at the Lighthouse Park Festival on Friday evening for assaulting a musician with a knife.

Police were first called to Lighthouse Park to check on a suspicious subject near the concert area where a band was playing, Mukilteo police officer Cheol Kang said.

The suspect, 32, got on stage and attacked one of the band members with a small knife. Mukilteo officers and private security officers who were on scene detained the suspect.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, had minor injuries, Kang said. The suspect was booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault.
