SHORELINE — It was a game that was supposed to give one team an edge early in the Wesco 3A play.

In the end Everett and Shorecrest went home with very little determined.

A hard fought game between the Seagulls (4-0-1 league, 4-0-1 overall) and the Scots (4-1-1, 4-1-1) ended in a draw Thursday night, allowing Glacier Peak to sneak into first place in Wesco 3A.

“It was a very physical game,” said Shorecrest coach Mindy Dalziel. “Everett had some opportunities toward the end of the second half that came close to the cross bar. We had a couple of opportunities as well, but mostly it was all over the field.”

Frida Swensen played keeper the entire game for Shorecrest while Cherise Shaver and McKayla Fox split time for Everett.

This was the second overtime game in three days for Shorecrest, which takes on rival Shorewood on Saturday.

Also on Saturday, Everett and Glacier Peak battle for first place at 7 p.m. at Glacier Peak H.S.
