Prep girls soccer: Marysville Pilchuck 2, Stanwood 0

MARYSVILLE — Alex Wright scored both goals for Marysville Pilchuck (2-3 league, 3-3 overall) who defeated Stanwood (1-4, 1-5) two to nothing. The first goal came 14 minutes in when Stanwood was trying to clear the ball out after a cross bounced off their keeper. Write took possession and walked it in. The second goal came in the second half at minute 44 when Write swatted the ball in off an assist from Kayla Beecheer. Melissa Schuetve and Carlie Moberg both spent time in goal for Marysville Pilchuck. Moburg left the game 22 minutes into the second half with an injury. Alex Breyer and Kaari Skagrud shared the keeper spot for Stanwood.
