Call for artists

Artists may submit their work for a display at The Lights of Christmas in Stanwood.

The family festival is planned for 20 nights in December at Warm Beach Camp, 20800 Marine Drive. They are seeking local artists working in any two-dimensional medium to submit their work.

Artwork will be on display and available for purchase in the Starry Night Coffeehouse.

The deadline to apply is Friday. Key themes related to this exhibit are: stars, light and Christmas.

Dance in Mukilteo: Mercyhill, a faith-based non profit organization, offers a dance called “Love’s Culture” for married couples.

It’s planned for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave. in Mukilteo. Tickets are $45 per couple with a portion going to a food bank.

Organizer Brad Adams, president of Mercyhill, said the evening includes loves songs from the past performed by guest vocalists.

Learn to manage mud and manure: “Mud, Manure and You” is a free farm workshop by the Snohomish Conservation District set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Arlington City Hall, 238 N. Olympic Ave.

The class offers tips and tools to help make life on the farm easier when the non-stop rains start falling.
