Founders smart, but not prophetic

Regarding the Thursday letter, “Cut Air Force, problem solved“: Do you think it might be possible that the Constitution does not mention an Air Force when it refers to defense because planes did not exist at that time? I don’t know about others, but I am sure that the intelligent and brave men who so carefully crafted that document knew it.

Suffice it to say that if we didn’t have an Air Force it would not have been hijacked commercial airliners that took down the Twin Towers.
