Around the County: Everett wants more input on Evergreen Way

The Everett Planning Department and Planning Commission are seeking public comment on the Proposed Evergreen Way Revitalization Plan; the proposed new design and development regulations for the Evergreen Way Corridor from 35th Street and Rucker Avenue to Gibson Road and Evergreen Way; the rezoning of all commercially zoned properties along the corridor to these two new zones; and the draft of the environmental addendum for these proposals.

Comments are also sought for the proposed rezoning of properties at 4629 Evergreen Way, 10121 Ninth Avenue W. and the adjacent vacant lot to the north. The comment period ends Dec. 1.

Housing options for the mentally ill

An educational forum, “Housing Options for Those Living with Mental Illness” will be presented from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at McCollum Pioneer Park’s Cougar Auditorium, 600 128th St. SE.

The event is sponsored by the Snohomish County Affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

A panel from Snohomish County Community and Homeless Services and local area mental health and housing providers, will provide information on housing options.

Mukilteo: Join Citizens United

A meeting is planned at 4 p.m. Wednesday at 10833 56th Place W. to discuss planning for Jan. 21, the second anniversary of Citizens United and to discuss the constitutional right to free speech.

Snohomish: Rail buffs plan meeting

Snohomish Railfans plan to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hilton Lake Fire Station, 3525 108th St. SE in Everett.
