KENT — Jackson’s state championship dreams ended after being held scoreless by Kentwood in its opening round game of the 4A state tournament. Kentwood (17-1-1) got goals from Laura Moore in the 16th minute and Cassidy Meyers in the 75th minute. The Timberwolves (12-5-2) weren’t able to get anything past Kentwood keeper Megan Charlton.
