Incumbent Alderwood Water Commissioner Larry Jones and challenger Mike Dixon apparently were winning election to the Alderwood Water and Wastewater District Board in returns released Wednesday.

Incumbent Jones led challenger Brian Travis by a 66 percent to 33 percent margin.

Challenger Dixon led incumbent Commissioner Larey McLaren by a 62 percent to 38 percent margin.

Dixon and McLaren had survived a tough primary in which McLaren, Dixon and former Commissioner Lance Norton all had between 24 percent and 39 percent of the vote.

The District includes Brier, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, parts of Bothell, Edmonds, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, and unincorporated areas of South Snohomish County.
