MARYSVILLE — Utilizing an 8-0 first quarter scoring advantage, La Conner charged out in front of Lakewood and held on for the nonleague victory. La Conner shot 10-of-17 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter alone as it built a 13-point lead that the Cougars couldn’t overcome. Kaylee Diggs had 11 rebounds, seven points and three blocks to lead a Cougars squad which commited 22 total turnovers.
