MONROE — A Monroe woman, 78, was hospitalized Wednesday after police went to her home to check on the welfare of her pets.
The Herald’s news partner, KIRO 7 TV, reported that several of the woman’s cats were confiscated and that Monroe police found “unlivable conditions inside the home.”
Nine cats were found in the woman’s house, and at least two of them needed immediate medical care, KIRO reported.
