Coming soon: The Everett School Board, which made news last year for meetings so contentious that board members scuffled with each other, has brought on two nonvoting student advisers to add a student voice to the board’s conversations.

One of the new student advisers is 16, which means the adult board members’ discourse will have to meet a PG-13 rating, rather than the board’s previous R rating for violence and adult language.

@$%&! my CEO says: Media mogul and News Corp. chief Rupert Murdoch, who faced questions and criticism over a phone hacking scandal involving one of his British newspapers, is bypassing the media filter with his own Twitter feed. Just two days in he had 46,000 followers.

But most of those Murdoch helpfully signed up himself by hacking into Twitter accounts.

Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair: Anti-Wall Street protestors brought up the rear of the Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena, Calif., on Monday. Occupy Rose Parade demonstrators followed 1.5 miles of the parade route before veering off for a rally near City Hall.

In keeping with the parade, the protestors carried signs made from flower petals and seeds and won the Grand Marshal’s Trophy for Best Tax the Rich Float.
