MONROE — Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Monroe espresso stand on Monday.

The robbery was reported just before 11 a.m. at a stand in the 400 block of Butler Street, Monroe police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said.

A man allegedly knocked on the window, told an employee he had a gun and demanded cash before running away.

A police dog search was unsuccessful, but police have obtained surveillance video from the scene, Willis said.

The man is described as white and in his late teens or early 20s. He has short blonde hair and a small moustache. He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
