Photographers, employees on display at Shoreline City Hall

Two new exhibits are on display at Shoreline City Hall, starting Feb. 2.
The exhibit “Witness” features the photography of Lauren Greathouse and Betty Udesen; the other exhibit is a collection of diverse work in the second annual City of Shoreline Employees Art Show.
Greathouse’s work is an exploration of the remnants found in vacant educational institutions around that state.
“With the use of color and black and white images, I deal with my own memories of grade school by re-creating the vibrancy and color I remember with the poignancy of those things and places that remain,” Greathouse said in a press release.
Greathouse’s work can be seen at www.lqgreatphoto.com.
Udesen’s work from “The Teatime Series” features the wild birds in her Seattle front yard.
“The wait for that special moment is sometimes very long,” she said. “I tuck seeds into decorative cups and pitchers. Then, I wait.”

The Shoreline Employees Art Show includes work by staff in the City Clerk, Finance, Parks, Planning and Public Works departments.
