Lynnwood man arrested after sexual assault of girl

LYNNWOOD — A Lynnwood man has been jailed for investigation of second-degree assault and child rape.
The suspect, 29, is accused of using a toy hairbrush to sexually assault a 7-year-old girl, according to court papers.
The injury was brought to the attention of Lynnwood police in late January after a social worker at Seattle Children’s Hospital reported that the girl was receiving medical treatment for an injury.
He was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
