Our trips have always delivered

Regarding the March 3 travel column, “Amtrak rooms don’t live up to billing”: My husband and I travel Amtrak frequently. Last week we arrived home trip on the Empire Builder — Everett to Chicago and back. Our accommodations were super, as usual — clean, updated room, clean bathrooms, and gracious car attendants who were oh, so helpful. Dining was good; the food was lovely.

We had a wonderful trip. Too bad these people had a bad experience. We enjoy “riding the rails,” and have not had a bad experience. Sorry for them.
