Feel good wine
Meet winemaker Kyle Johnson from Purple Star at 4:30 p.m. June 2 at Arista Wine Cellars, 320 Fifth Ave. S, Edmonds.
Purple Star is best known for its Wahluke Slope, Yakima Valley and Red Mountain wines with soft tannins and a distinct varietal character.
The Mattawa winery donates 15 percent of Purple Star Wine proceeds to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Gluten freedom
Learn how to prepare delicious gluten-free recipes using rice flours, potato and tapioca starch. Sample quiche, sun-dried tomato cottage cheese muffins, pizza and chocolate brownie cupcakes.
Class will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 6 at Albert Lee, 18620 33rd Ave. W, Lynnwood. Fee is $55.

Time for Thai
Pranee Halvorsen, owner of I Long Thai Cooking, will give a tour of H Mart in Lynnwood and Ranch Market in Edmonds, gathering Thai herbs and fresh Asian vegetables for a Thai feast June 6.

Corner Coffee Bar &Café is featuring live music on Fridays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The spot serves wine and beer in addition to coffee drinks, soups, sandwiches, desserts and salads.

Arnie’s in Edmonds is offering half-price wine nights Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4 p.m.
There also is a special vegetarian and vegan menu with seasonal selections ranging from vegetarian tacos ($12.95) and vegetable fettuccine ($14.95) to a falafel sandwich ($12.95).
