MONROE — A Monroe man was taken by helicopter to a Seattle hospital after his car struck a utility pole in the city.
The crash happened just after 5:30 p.m. Monday along N. Lewis Street, south of U.S. 2.
No other vehicles were involved, Monroe police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said.
The man, 40, was in a 1993 Oldsmobile Bravada that crossed the center line before striking the pole, Willis said.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
