MONROE — Police on Wednesday were investigating seven small arsons reported overnight in the downtown Monroe area.
All of the fires apparently were set in trash bins between 1:30 and 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Monroe police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said. About half were along Main Street.
One fire damaged a 2007 Jeep Cherokee that was parked nearby. Other property damage was minor, Willis said. No injuries were reported.
Detectives were checking the area for surveillance video on Wednesday. No suspect information was available.
Anyone with information should call police at 360-863-4600. Tipsters can be anonymous.
