Notes: Everett ices a more veteran lineup tonight than in Friday’s preseason opener against Tri-City. with eight veterans returning to the lineup. Fifteen-year-old defenseman Kevin Davis, Everett’s first-round pick in this year’s bantam draft, gets his first taste of WHL action.

SPOKANE

Forwards: Helewka, Proft, Aviani, Rimmel, Walchuk, Cardiff, Whittingham, Lamothe, Chartier, Playfair, Predinchuk, Bechtold.

Defensemen: Fram, Vandane, McIntosh, Bobyk, King, Power.

Goaltenders: Hughson (starting), Martin.

Scratches: Mort, Stewart, Holmberg, Gow, Valcourt, Wedman, Fiddler, Verhelst.

Notes: A ton of unrecognizable names on the ice tonight for Spokane as pretty much the entire scratch list is veterans. A handful of vets, including goaltenders Mac Engel and Eric Williams and overage winger Blake Gal, aren’t on the roster, so apparently they didn’t make the trip.
