EVERETT — Everett held off a last-minute attempt to tie the game and force overtime, winning a Wesco 3A crossover contest with Shorewood, the Seagulls first win of the season. Shorewood beat Everett in total yards of offense 370-251, but turned the ball over six times. Everett struck first, with a 54 yard pass caught by Garret Wise from Nolan Rogge and led 7-0 at the half. It was back and forth in the second half, with the Thunderbirds scoring a touchdown with just 39 seconds remaining to make it 21-19. Shorewood went for two, running the ball about halfway to the goal line, but the Thunderbirds were unable to break the plane of the end zone and tie the game.
