Ex-DEA agents can just butt out

I have been following the talk both on television and in The Herald regarding the federal intervention of our new pot law.

To my knowledge, legalization of pot is neither a civil rights issue, nor does it effect any funding from the feds. So, what right do they have to overturn a law passed by the citizens of our state?

I am not a smoker myself, but this is just not making sense to me. Is the federal government ready to supplement the cost to enforce the old law? I don’t think so.

The retired DEA officials and others in D.C. who want to get involved with the decisions of our state, might want to think about being a resident, first.
