ARLINGTON — Cascade’s Jorge Heredia scored on a penalty kick in the first minute of overtime to give the Bruins the win in a wild Wesco 4A crossover match.

Seigo Hall pounced on a deflected shot and scored with one second left in regulation to force overtime for Arlington.

Four penalty kicks, two to each team, were awarded with Heredia and Oscar Rozanski converting for Cascade. The Eagles failed on both of their attempts. Bruins goalkeeper Joey Birnbaum saved Brendan Aune’s penalty in the 13th minute. In the 63rd, Arlington’s successful conversion was called back due to encroachment and the rekick hit off the post.

After Heredia opened the scoring in the 11th minute, Aune made amends for his missed penalty with a header off Mason Herring’s free kick five minutes into the second half. The players reversed roles with Aune setting up Herring to give Arlington a 2-1 advantage with 20 minutes left.

But Cascade needed just 10 minutes to retake the lead. Rozanski and Jake Pittensbarger scored back-to-back goals in the 69th and 70th minutes.
