Prep baseball: Mountlake Terrace 7, Meadowdale 3

LYNNWOOD — Mountlake Terrace scored five runs in the second inning, highlighted by Jason Shevenko’s inside-the-park solo home run, to record an upset victory over second-place Meadowdale in a Wesco 3A South game. Winning pitcher Daniel Theis threw five innings and also scored two runs. The Mavericks’ Tyler McGuire hit 3-for-4 with two RBI.
