Two of our area’s best softball players had amazing weeks last week in leading their teams to district championships. Here’s the candidates and their stats:

Ronnie Ladines, Arlington

Pitching: 2 wins, 12 IP, 0 ER, 7 hits; five-hit shutout and 12 Ks in district championship game

Hitting: 5-for-7, 4 HR

Alyssa Reuble, Meadowdale

Pitching: 2 wins, 17 IP, 5 ER, 10 hits, 25 Ks

Hitting: 1 HR, 3 2B
