Return of phone saves priceless photos

Published 2:07 pm Friday, July 12, 2013

On Sunday, July 7, my son was getting married. When I arrived at the ceremony, I realized I couldn’t find my iPhone. Later, searching the car and my house turned up nothing. The next evening my son got a call from AT&T saying my phone had been turned in. At first I was puzzled how that could be, but then I remembered. In my haste to take flowers and dresses and food to the car, I absent-mindedly placed my iPhone on the trunk of my car and drove off. Someone found it, probably after they drove over it, and instead of discarding it took it to AT&T Alderwood with the Sim Card intact!

What makes this such a blessing to me is that although my iPhone is broken (except Siri), I was still able to plug it in to my computer and sync it. Even that wouldn’t have been so spectacular except for the fact that my husband passed away suddenly last month. After I synced it, I realized I had not saved 276 pictures which were from his 69th birthday, our last month together and his funeral. Those would have been lost forever. Whoever was kind enough to take the time to retrieve my phone from the road and take it to AT&T, I thank you so very, very much. Your gracious act of service has meant so much to me. I hope someone in turn will return a kind favour to you.
