Details on police-boat activity in Mukilteo

Some folks in Mukilteo have asked about what appeared to be a police operation on the water Thursday night.

Here’s what we got from the U.S. Coast Guard’s Sector Puget Sound’s public affairs office:

About 8:15 p.m., a distress or “mayday” call went out over the radio multiple times. A Coast Guard boat and helicopter were used to search the area Thursday night and again on Friday morning. Spotlights also were used.

Nothing was found.
