MOUNT VERNON — Nikki Hovland scored two in the first half for Jackson as the Timberwolves defeated Mount Vernon in a Wesco 4A crossover match. Shay Kendrick had Mount Vernon’s only goal — her first on the varsity team — with an assist from from Kaylee Fontes.
