Chickens do come home to roost

As many Republicans head to the back room to create damage control plans, I am reminded of the scene in the film, “Bridge on the River Kwai,” where the commandant of a World War Two prison camp is forced to release the British commander from solitary confinement, bringing shame on himself. He retreats to his office and tearfully slams his fist and tears his hair. It must be very difficult when your words and actions must mirror something other than what you know is right and just, as the Republicans, too, are likely discovering.
