Prep wrestling: Lynnwood 39, Mariner 37

EVERETT — Lynnwood stayed unbeaten in league and handed Mariner its first league loss of the season with a 39-37 win on Wednesday.

After falling behind 15-3 early, Mariner 138-pounder Ramon Ozuna pinned Josh Collins in just 38 seconds to get the Marauders back in the match.

“It was a turning point when we started to come from behind,” Mariner head coach Kyle Castle said. “It was a moral booster for the team.”

Lynnwood 182-pounder Hunter Lord clinched victory for the Royals when he pinned Nazary Vasilchenko.
