FERNDALE — Alex Thompson was hit by a pitch by with the bases loaded and two outs as Meadowdale defeated Ferndale in a 3A District 1 Tournament game. Kenley Ackerman, Justin Ridley and Brett Shafer each had two hits for the Mavericks in the win.

Meadowdale now advances to face Shorewood in a loser out game, Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Shorewood high school.
