SEATTLE — A Washington State Ferries executive is on paid leave while his son, who also works for the ferry system, appeals his firing.
Documents obtained by the Kitsap Sun show operations director Steve Rodgers has been assigned to his home since July 3. But the documents provide no connection to his son’s case.
Josh Rodgers worked as a ticket seller at the Fauntleroy terminal in West Seattle. He was fired in December for taking $529. He says he borrowed the money to pay for gas to commute to work. He’s appealing through his union.
