Signings confirmed, Leedahl suspended

It’s a mere formality, but I can now confirm Everett signed goaltender Mario Petit, defenseman Tristen Pfeifer, and forwards Nik Malenica and Gunnar Wegleitner over the weekend. All four played during the weekend’s preseason games, which pretty much served as a flashing neon sign saying they’d signed without it actually being announced. But all the paperwork is now complete, making it official. They should all be involved in this weekend’s two games at the Tri-City Preseason Tournament.

One player who won’t be involved this weekend is winger Dawson Leedahl. Leedahl was handed a two-game suspension for his checking-from-behind major penalty in Sunday’s 4-2 loss to Portland. Therefore, Leedahl will not be able to play in the games in Kennewick.

Everett has made two roster moves, reassigning 15-year-olds Jantzen Leslie and Bryce Kindopp. The two received their first taste if WHL action this weekend, each appearing in two games.

Otherwise, everyone is still here, putting Everett’s roster at 28:

Goaltenders (4) — Austin Lotz (95), Nik Amundrud (97), Mario Petit (97), Carter Hart (98).

Defensemen (8) — Ben Betker (94), Cole MacDonald (95), Carter Cochrane (96), Tristen Pfeifer (96), Lucas Skrumeda (96), Kevin Davis (97), Noah Juulsen (97), Jordan Wharrie (97).

Forwards (16) — Kohl Bauml (94), Zane Jones (94), Brayden Low (94), Logan Aasman (95), Remi Laurencelle (95), Carson Stadnyk (95), Chris Stockl (95), Dawson Leedahl (96), Graham Millar (96), Ivan Nikolishin (96), Tyler Sandhu (96), Patrick Bajkov (97), Matt Fonteyne (97), Nik Malenica (97), Addison Runey (97), Gunnar Wegleitner (98).
