Notes: The big lineup news for Everett is winger Nikita Scherbak makes his Silvertips debut. Scherbak, acquired from Saskatoon last week in a blockbuster trade, had his visa paperwork completed in time to play tonight. His inclusion causes some minor tweaking to the forward lines. Defenseman Carter Cochrane is listed on the injury report as day to day with illness, though he practiced in full Thursday.

Overage winger Tyrell Goulbourne isn’t on the injury report, but he returned from training camp with the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers with an undisclosed injury. Defenseman Jesse Lees is out after being on the receiving end of Tyler Benson’s boarding major Wednesday against Vancouver. Goulbourne being out means Kelowna doesn’t have to make an overager decision, allowing defenseman Cole Martin and forwards Carter Rigby and Colton Heffley to all play.
