Everett’s injury list isn’t as bad as it looks

Here’s Everett’s entry on the WHL website’s weekly report dated Nov. 10:
Noah Juulsen, D, lower body, day-to-day
Remi Laurencelle, F, lower body, day-to-day
Dawson Leedahl, F, lower body, indefinite
Austin Lotz, G, upper body, day-to-day
Nik Malenica, F, upper body, week-to-week
Tristen Pfeifer, D, lower body, day-to-day
Gunnar Wegleitner, F, illness, day-to-day
Whoa. Everett is heading into its first three-in-three weekend of the season — home games Friday and Saturday against Portland and Kamloops, then a game Sunday at Portland — and it does so with by far it’s longest injury list of the season thus far.
For much of the season Everett’s been pretty healthy, with Leedahl’s knee injury the only one that’s caused anyone to miss a significant chunk of time. But this list seems troublesome, especially considering the Tips play three times this weekend.
However, things aren’t as dire as this list suggests. Juulsen, Lotz, Pfeifer and Wegleitner have all been practicing this week and should be good to go this weekend. It’ll still be a challenge for the Tips as they’ll probably have 20 players who will have to suit up for all three games. However, don’t let the length of the list mislead you, it’s not really that bad.
